Make Yourself At Home
This is a drawing composed on a equiangular grid that allow viewers to experience it as a two-dimensional work, or digitally immerse themselves within the drawing. Equiangular grids are the foundation of panoramic photos. They allow spaces to be experienced as if you are standing within them. I use these grids to compose interiors that are physically impossible yet familiar.
At the time I started this drawing, people were spending the majority of their time in their homes, and consequintly our homes made us seek escape in our immediate surroundings. These drawings should provoke feelings of familiarity but also encourage a sense of escapism.
