Repurposed Cigarette Case
Date: 2023
Dimensions: 4 1/4” x 3 1/4”
Material: Cigarette case, matches, cardboard, twine
I purchased a cigarette case and decided to repurpose it as a sketchbook. Writing or drawing on loose paper feels less permanent and high pressure than using a bound book. You could keep the pages if you wanted to, but can just as easily get rid of them. I added a piece of twine and a brass tack to easily lift the papers and on the lid attached another brass tack to hold used pages. On the back of the case I attached an envelope for matches and a piece of striker paper because I like the possibility offering a light to someone creates, and matches are a great conversation starter.
